I shot with Canon because the cameras perform very well. This is reflected in the weather sealing and the image quality. Also, the operation is very easy and quick to learn. The user interface is very practical to use. I have complete confidence that my camera will do its job and exceed its requirements every time.I can go out in rain and know i don't have to worry about the Canon gear because of its excellent weather sealing in its L Line Lenses and Camera Bodies. The Image Quality which the Canon Line Up brings up is excellent and keeps being better and better.

My name is Matthis Debruyne, and I am an 19-year-old passionate hobby photographer. My journey into the world of photography began at the age of 13, and ever since, I have been captivated by the art of capturing moments through my lens. I am fortunate to reside near the breathtaking Lake Constance in the beautiful German state of Bavaria, providing me with a rich tapestry of landscapes and subjects to explore.

While my father played a significant role in shaping my understanding of photography, I have also dedicated countless hours to self-learning and experimentation, constantly seeking to refine my craft. Through this process, I have developed expertise in various genres, including Fine Art, Landscape, Portrait, Black and White, and Astrophotography. Each category presents its own unique challenges and opportunities for creative expression, and I find joy in exploring them all.

When I'm not behind the camera, I indulge in a few other hobbies that bring balance to my life. One of my favorite pastimes is swimming, and I actively participate in the local swimming club. Additionally, I enjoy embarking on adventurous bike rides with my friends, exploring the hidden trails of the backcountry. And, of course, what better way to unwind with friends than to gather around a crackling fire, sharing laughter and good food at a cozy evening barbecue?

Photography has become a defining part of my life, allowing me to express my creativity, document the beauty around me, and preserve precious memories. Through continuous learning, exploration, and the pursuit of new challenges, I aspire to evolve as a photographer and create images that evoke emotions and inspire others to see the world through a different lens.

Photography, for me, is more than just a hobby—it is a profound form of self-expression and a means of connecting with the world around me. There are several motivating factors that drive my passion for photography, fueling my desire to capture compelling images and tell visual stories. Moreover, photography serves as a powerful medium for storytelling. With each click of the shutter, I have the opportunity to convey narratives, evoke emotions, and spark a connection between the viewer and the image. I believe that every photograph has a story to tell, whether it's a single frame or a series of images, and I am driven to capture images that resonate with people, stir their imaginations, and provoke contemplation. But also photography allows me to freeze fleeting moments in time and preserve them forever. Life is filled with transient experiences and emotions that can quickly fade from memory, but through photography, I can capture these ephemeral instances and create lasting mementos. Whether it's a radiant sunset casting vibrant hues across the sky or a candid portrait capturing the raw emotions of a loved one, photography immortalizes these cherished moments and allows me to relive them again and again.

Different typs of photography

What kinds of photgraphy do I like to do. Well, I do a lot of landscape photography, a lot of my work is about photographing the lake and its surroundings. Furthermore, I love  fine art photography, because this is a very beautiful kind of photography, which for me complicated or simple motifs, can be presented in a minimalist way. In addition, I am now working more on the portrait photography. The portrait photography offers me the opportunity to represent people in a certain light or manner. Also serves this as a way to  challenge myself.

I currently own two camera housings that have served me well in different contexts. My first camera was the Canon EOS 6D Mark II, which faithfully accompanied me on my photographic journey for over three years. However, to make room for new possibilities,

I eventually decided to part ways with it. In its place, I acquired the Canon EOS R, a camera that has quickly become my daily driver. What sets the EOS R apart is that I had it modified after purchase. By removing the UV-Ir cut filter, the camera can now capture a broader spectrum of light, which is especially crucial for my astrophotography endeavors. I do, however, possess a filter that allows me to use the camera for daytime photography as well, ensuring its versatility across various shooting conditions.

To ensure stability and precision in my shots, I rely on the Rock Solid Beta Mark II - Carbon Tripod. Its lightweight design and robust construction make it a reliable companion in various shooting conditions, allowing me to achieve tack-sharp images even in challenging situations.

For the safe and comfortable transportation of my gear, the Gitzo Adventury 30L backpack for DSLR serves as my trusty companion, providing ample space and convenient accessibility for all my equipment.

Lastly, to expand my creative possibilities and manage exposure, I employ ND filters in my workflow. Specifically, I utilize an ND 72 filter for long-exposure photography, capturing smooth and ethereal motion in landscapes and waterscapes. Additionally, the ND 8 filter assists me in controlling light in bright conditions while maintaining optimal image quality. With this meticulously selected arsenal of cameras, lenses, and accessories, I am equipped to push the boundaries of my creativity, explore diverse photographic genres, and capture stunning images that convey the beauty of the world through my unique perspective.
